was standing along a walkway of a nearby park and witnessed this lovely dog making trip after trip plunging into the water to retrieve what his animal companion tossed. Time after time this exchange continued with incredible delight by the dog and laughter by this dog’s person.
It had occurred to me that this amazing and loving joyful experience involved the act of giving. Both were giving so much to the experience. Neither really seemed to concerned about how far something was thrown, how long it took to retrieve it, whether the catch was perfect, or even the entry with splashing was too intense. None of it mattered. When they were done they both just walked off as if it were something so natural with no intent other to enjoy the moment. One simply liked to throw, the other liked to swim and return.
I realized in this moment how much we all give. How much you give when you read these observations of life, how much you put into practice things that are suggested, how much you want to experience the fullness of your life and totality of being, all require that you give. You give from your heart, from your voice, from your hand and from your actions. Most of the time you think nothing of it, you just feel compelled to compassionately share some part of yourself and swim lovingly in the world that you are surrounded in. Sometimes you may not feel the gratitude or appreciation of what you do, but you shrug it off and conserve energy where it most matters.
You give so much so that you can learn about yourself, so that you can support the inner beauty and growth of another. When we support another we are expanding our capacity to love ourselves just a little bit more. It is the reward of giving in that the universe supplies with infinite, expansive energy because ,we have, and you have chosen a path where giving creates within you a certainty of truth, a certainty of action and a higher calling to be a part of the amazing grace of work well done. No attachment to results are required, it is all in the process of giving that we manifest outcomes beyond ourselves.
You give so much! Just like our fond dog swimming and retrieving, and the young man actively encouraging and supporting his dog’s endless joy, without even knowing, he gave so much.
